Custom design Carbide roll/OEM carbide composite rolls for bar mills

Using carbide rolls in bar mills allows for a single-groove rolling output over 10 times that of cast iron rolls, at an overall cost of approximately 50% of that of cast iron rolls. These rolls offer significant technical and economic advantages and have been rapidly adopted and promoted worldwide in recent years. Bar mills are characterized by low rolling speeds, requiring the rolls to withstand high rolling loads and torques. These rolls require high tensile strength, the ability to withstand heavy loads, excellent wear resistance, and large dimensions. Ductile iron and high-speed steel rolls are currently widely used, as they offer excellent thermal shock and wear resistance among cast iron rolls. Because carbide rolls have good wear resistance, high temperature red hardness, heat fatigue resistance and high strength, the use of carbide composite rolls can increase the single groove rolling volume; reduce the number and time of roll and groove changes, and improve the effective operation rate of the rolling mill; reduce the number of roll grinding times, and the grinding cost can be effectively reduced, thereby reducing the roll cutting processing cost; improve the yield rate, can significantly improve the product dimensional accuracy, and reduce the scrap rate; significantly improve the surface quality of the rolled material, the rolled threaded steel and round steel products have high surface finish, beautiful appearance, and very precise negative deviation control, which can greatly improve market competitiveness.

Performance corrosion-resistant high-quality carbide roller ring:

It has high hardness, and its hardness value changes little with temperature. The hardness value at 700ºC is 4 times that of high-speed steel;
The elastic modulus, compressive strength, bending strength and thermal conductivity are also more than 1 times higher than tool steel. Due to the high thermal conductivity of carbide rollers, the heat dissipation effect is good, so that the roller surface is at high temperature for a shorter time, and thus the high-temperature reaction time of the roller with harmful impurities in the cooling water is shorter. Therefore, carbide rollers are more corrosion-resistant and resistant to cold and heat fatigue than tool steel rollers.
